Corporate Film Producer/ Junior Producer – Based Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)

Speakeasy is on the hunt for a talented and experienced corporate film producer or junior producer to join our Edinburgh team. Following the pandemic, we have returned to working in the office for part of the week and are happy to allow the candidate to partially work from home providing they can be highly flexible when it comes to live projects and their requirements.

As one of the UK’s largest and most successful corporate production companies, Speakeasy is home to a vibrant team of creative communication specialists with around 30 years’ experience producing world-class films and live events for blue chip clients including: Lloyds Banking Group, SSE, NHS, British Red Cross, Scottish Government, Travis Perkins, BAE Systems, Bank of New York and Royal Mail.

Our output ranges from documentaries and training films to regular staff news programmes, from animations and high impact event films to live webcasts and social media videos.

We’re looking for an exceptionally creative and well organised corporate film producer/ junior producer who can be trusted to manage film projects from brief to delivery, combining creative instinct and an endless supply of good ideas with the technical know-how to make them happen.

Everything we do at Speakeasy is focussed on producing effective business communications, and our producers are the critical link between the creative and corporate worlds. The ability to engage and win the trust of business clients is a key attribute.

Answering to the Executive Producer, the successful candidate will be adept at:

– Taking briefs and carrying out rigorous communication analysis

– Developing inspirational and effective creative treatments and presenting them to clients

– Communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

– Interpreting business needs and speaking the language of the business community

– Sourcing and allocating production and creative talent

– Leading and enthusing the project team

An awareness of graphical and post production processes would also be of benefit, as would an appreciation of digital and social media channels. Tendering and script writing skills also an advantage.

We’re looking for an exceptionally organised production assistant who can assist our team of producers on various film and animation projects, someone who is looking to develop their career with us, whether that be in another organisational role or a more creative role. You will have the opportunity to work across project planning, scheduling, liaising with clients, assisting producers with project research, assisting with voice over recordings, assisting on schedules and budgets as well as attending shoots.

Answering to the Production Coordinator, the ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be incredibly organised, have an eye for detail and be a problem solver. We are looking for someone with experience working as a PA, someone who is a great communicator and has excellent computer skills. The right person for the role will be a great team player with a real love for film.
